Project overview

A luxury resort, rebuilt to book direct.

Kenran Resort is a luxury jungle resort in Tegallalang, North Ubud, offering pool suites and villas, a spa, curated dining, and wellness experiences framed by rice terraces and rainforest. The brand needed a website that matched the property in person - and a booking flow that turned browsing guests into direct reservations instead of OTA commissions.

The challenge

A five-star resort. A booking flow built for someone else.

Kenran Resort is a five-star jungle sanctuary in Ubud, but its website undersold the property and sent visitors straight to third-party booking platforms. Every reservation made through an OTA meant a cut of the revenue and a guest relationship the hotel never got to own.

What we did

Prototype in Next.js. Launch in Webflow.

We began by building the entire experience as a custom Next.js prototype - free from CMS constraints - so every layout, transition, and interaction could be tested and refined quickly. Once the design was validated, we rebuilt it in Webflow for easy day-to-day editing, and designed a custom booking widget built directly into the hero: guests can check availability and book their stay without ever leaving the site or price-comparing on a third-party platform. Every section was rewritten to match the resort's luxury, jungle-sanctuary positioning.

Our approach

Design validated first, then built to last.

01Prototype-first design

The full experience was designed and tested in a custom Next.js build first, so every layout and interaction was proven before a single page went into the CMS.

02Webflow handoff

The validated design was rebuilt in Webflow, giving the resort's team an easy way to update rooms, offers, and pages without touching code.

03Direct booking widget

A custom check-in, check-out, and guest-count widget sits in the hero, so travelers can book directly with the hotel instead of comparing prices on a third-party site.

04Brand-led copywriting

Every headline and description was rewritten from scratch to match the resort's luxury, jungle-sanctuary positioning.

The Results

A site built to keep bookings - and guests - direct.

A resort website that finally matches the property's standard, with a booking experience designed to keep reservations - and the guest relationship - with the hotel instead of a third-party platform.
