A warm, parent-first website for a Paarl playschool with 20+ years of history - built to earn trust quickly and turn local searches into booked tours and admissions.
Project overview
Cheeky Monkeys / Bekkige Apies Playschool is a daycare and preschool on Retief Street in Paarl, founded more than 20 years ago by Alicia Rossouw. A team of 12 permanent and 2 temporary staff cares for children from 4 months to 5 years in age-specific classrooms, with meals made on-site and spacious indoor and outdoor play areas.
The challenge
Cheeky Monkeys has cared for children aged 4 months to 5 years in Paarl for more than two decades. But parents choosing a daycare need to trust the people and the place before they ever visit - and they increasingly start that search on Google, where a school without a strong website is easy to overlook.
What we did
We built a bright, playful WordPress site that leads with what parents check first: safety, a low teacher-to-child ratio, meals prepared on-site, and daily updates. Staff profiles - from founder Alicia Rossouw to the baby-room carers - put real faces to the school, while activities like Rugga Roots Rugby, Mini Cricket, and Ballet and the annual concert show everyday life. Admission and tour calls to action repeat through the page, and a service-area section and blog target parents searching across Paarl and the surrounding suburbs.
What we built
Safety, small groups, on-site meals, and daily parent updates sit in the first scroll, answering the questions parents ask before they visit.
Profiles for the founder, headmistress, and carers - with their roles and years of experience - show parents exactly who will look after their child.
Apply for Admission and Book a Tour calls to action run through the site, with tour times - weekdays from 15:00 to 17:00 - stated up front.
A service-area section covering Central Paarl, Courtrai, Lemoenkloof, Wellington, and more, plus a blog and search-aligned headings, helps nearby parents find the school.
The Results
Cheeky Monkeys now has a website that feels like the school itself - warm, colourful, and reassuring - with a clear path from first search to booked tour, and the local content it needs to be found by parents across Paarl, Wellington, and the surrounding suburbs.
